Oh boy!

We have known all throughout this pregnancy that this little boy of ours was big. He has measured ahead of schedule since about 12 weeks. But yesterday we got to go for an ultrasound to see just how chubby this little boy is. We hadn't had an ultrasound for almost 10 weeks, so it was so fun to go see our little guy again!
The tech started out by taking some pictures of his stomach and kidneys and measuring the amniotic fluid (which apparently I have a lot of) and then checked the length of his spine and thigh bones. She showed us his hands (by his face as usual) and then moved on to measure his head and tummy to get an approximate weight. Our little sumo wrestler is weighing in at a whopping 6 pounds 10 ounces already! And we are only 34 weeks. Which means that this not so little man is about 3 and a half weeks ahead of schedule! I was a bit shocked, then a bit terrified. I am running out of room as it is, and I still have 5 weeks to go! Holy moly! The tech was awesome though. She just explained that a big baby means a healthy baby, and even pointed out that baby boy already has tons of hair! I guess if you can see it on a sonogram, it has to be a pretty good amount! Yay! So cute!
Anyway, we have another appointment on Monday to discuss the possibility of an early induction or a c-section. Which are both fine with me. The sooner our chubby baby comes (as long as he is good and healthy of course) the better! We can't wait to meet him!
Xoxo

  1. How exciting... He will be here before you know it! Make sure you take lots of naps leading up to his arrival and try to sleep every time he naps when he is born! It gets harder and harder to catch up on sleep the more kiddos you add! :) How fun to see his hair! If you do end up having a c-section... get up and get walking as much as possible after the surgery... it helps a TON! Keep us posted on when he arrives! Oh yeah... if you would like me to design a baby announcement... I would LOVE to! You just have to email me pictures and I will design something and email it back to you. My website is www.amberlouannounces.blogspot.com Love you Sar! Good luck with everything!
